Our team undertook a thorough renovation of the compromised garage flat roof, ensuring it was completely watertight. We began by meticulously removing the existing rubber layer and old flashing. Any damaged interior metal paneling was carefully cut out to create a solid subsurface structure. We then installed a new 60-mil EPDM rubber membrane, fully adhering it with commercial-grade adhesives and 3" seam tape at all transitions. To enhance durability, we custom-fabricated and installed a 26-gauge coated steel edge apron, priming the top edge and securing the roof-to-apron seam with 6" cured rubber. The garage is now fully restored, providing robust protection against future leaks!
Eliminating complex leak sources across three distinct areas took priority for this home in Fox Point. To solve an ongoing entry door leak, our crew custom-fabricated a 26-gauge steel apron sealed with Water Stop compound and 6" cured rubber over the asphalt-to-flat roof seam. On the southwest chimney, we stripped away old surrounding rubber, laid high-temperature ice and water shield, custom-built a 26-gauge steel cricket, and anchored new reglet-cut counter-flashing directly into the masonry. Finally, we rebuilt rotted deck boards inside the east built-in gutter before installing ISO insulation board, a durable .60mm EPDM rubber membrane, matching CertainTeed Landmark shingles, and liquid Alsan membrane over the copper wall flashing. Another home fully restored and leak-free ahead of its upcoming paint job!
Addressing three active water intrusion zones took priority for this home in Fox Point! Our team resolved an entry door leak by installing a custom 26-gauge steel apron with Water Stop sealant and 6" cured rubber over the asphalt-to-flat roof transition. Around the southwest chimney, we removed surrounding shingles and old rubber, laid high-temp ice and water shield, custom-built a 26-gauge steel cricket, and anchored a reglet-cut counter-flashing system directly into the masonry. To fix a rotted section above the built-in gutter on the east side, we rebuilt the underlying structure, covered the flat and gutter sections with ISO board and .60mm EPDM rubber, seamlessly integrated matching CertainTeed Landmark shingles. Another North Shore home fully sealed and weather-ready before exterior painting!
