To wrap up the exterior, we installed 6" seamless aluminum gutters in white topped with metal gutter guards, carefully shifting downspout locations to allow room for the homeowner to center an exterior light fixture. Another Mequon property fully protected and tailored to perfection!
This Mequon transformation was all about fixing tricky detail work and increasing water capacity! Beyond installing a high-performance CertainTeed ClimateFlex impact-resistant roof in Moire Black, we focused on solving pre-existing trouble spots. We corrected a improperly lapped chimney flashing with a custom 26-gauge steel counter-flashing ground directly into the mortar joints, replaced failing boots with a heavy-duty 22.5-degree lead stack boot, and added four rear slant-back vents tailored to balance airflow for the unfinished attic space. To finish, we doubled the property's drainage capacity by upgrading to high-capacity 6" seamless aluminum gutters in Bronze to keep the foundation completely protected.
